Ancient Greeks were well known for their expansive amphiters, alphabet, city- state rule and worshoping Gods.  Through this unit students will learn how the ancient community worked together to form trade routes, create root words for present day usage, parallel the old with the new.  Students will create a 1/2 day dramatic production incorporating the knowledge of the Greek society.  This will also incorporate a Olympic event and traditon meeting of rules.   By the end of the unit students will fully understand the relationship that ancient Greece had to today's culture.

Over the course of the unit you will learn how ancient Greece brought forth many ideas which are used in our culture today. Before we get into to much detail we must examine what Greece is like today. We have a guest speaker to tell us a little bit about present day Greece.
