Job Title: Information Services

 

Pay Range: $45,000 - $100,000

 

Reporting To:   Director of Facilities and Physical Plant Manager

 

Number of People Supervised: None

 

Job Summary:  Install and maintain the digital infrastructure and technology systems throughout the business.  Ensure that all communications tools are in good working order at all times.  Help evaluate technology purchases.   Work with other IS personnel to ensure effective web access and internal digital processing needs.  

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

1.  Design, install and maintain the digital infrastructure and technology systems of the business

 

2.  Stay current with changing technological products

 

3.  Ensure that all communications tools are in good working order at all times

 

4.  Continuously monitor and evaluate company equipment and software to meet changing needs

 

5.  Help evaluate technology purchases

 

6.  Continue technology training upgrades to stay current with technological needs

 

7.  Work with Design Artists to develop and maintain web site

 

8.  Troubleshoot and repair across the system as needed

 

9.  Recommend and contract with external contractors as necessary to maintain and upgrade system

 

10.  Maintain department records relating to IS

 

11.  Provide reports to department head as needed

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

1.  HTML and web site development

 

2.  Technology skills (word processing, data base, spread sheet, graphics, web management, etc.)

 

3.  Web site management skills

 

4.  Ability to set up and manage both hardware and software for each work station

 

5.  Information Technology skills (backbone, hardware, etc.)

 

6.  Information System skills (communication systems)

 

7.  Technically astute

 

Special Requirements:

 

Excellent understanding of digital technology

 

Troubleshooting skills

 

 

 

Tools & Equipment:

Tools and Equipment used:  Computers and peripherals, software (word processing, data base, system analysis, and other testing software), telephone, FAX, copier, testing equipment, wiring tools, internet equipment
