Job Title: Board Parliamentarian

 

Pay Range:  Additional $5,000-$8,000 Stipend

 

Reporting To:   CEO and Board of Directors

 

Number of People Supervised: N/A

 

Job Summary:  This is an additional responsibility assigned by CEO to a current Board of Directors member.  This individual acts as a resource and monitor for Board and Executive Board meetings to ensure that correct parliamentary procedures are followed.  Advises CEO and CAO of proper procedures to ensure validity of group decisions and procedures.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

1.  Act as advisor and monitor of board actions in regard to Robert's Rules of Order

 

2.  Stay informed and current with parliamentary procedures, specifically Robert's Rules of Order

 

3.  Act as parliamentary resource for the Board of Directors and Executive Board meetings

 

4.  Provide expertise and services to other committees as directed

 

5.

Tools and Equipment used:  Computer and peripherals, software (word processing), parliamentarian software and/or printed documentation
Frequency of Use:  regular use at all Board of Director and Executive Board meetings, and for research purposes
