• Criteria for Proficient have been successfully completed
• Information in Rationale is exceptionally informative and detailed
• Rationale shows an awareness of the audience

3 Proficient

• Rationale contains a minimum of three reasons why the Nubian Monument Project is historically important
• Each reason is supported with an example
• Rationale is written in a logical order
• Rationale is free of spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors

2 Progressing

• Three of the criteria for Proficient have been met
• Additional research is needed
• Additional revision and/or editing are needed

• Less than three of the criteria for Proficient have been met
• Task should be repeated
