- Delivery is informative,
but also dramatic and engaging
- You have become
a living prop for the story (e.g., costume, storyteller's bag, accent)
- Your retelling
is interactive with the audience
3 Proficient
- Retelling accurately
reflects the historical time period
- Through your
retelling, the audience can visualize the characters and gain an understanding
of their unique personalities
- You have included
the story's setting, both where and when it takes place
- You have clearly
presented the problem
- You have shown
how the characters solved or might have solved the problem
- Your retelling
was expressive (voice varied in volume, tone, and pacing)
- You retold the
story using good rhythm and appropriate gestures
- You made eye
contact frequently and correctly with the audience
