Research Problem
What staff development strategies will increase teacher use of technology in the curricula? Providing effective strategies in staff development is a challenging, complex task. One will often find a broad range of technology competency levels, use, and equipment within the staff, making technology integration into the curriculum uneven across the school. Staff development programs have often been 'applied' to the teacher population, but with varying degrees of success.

Why are some teachers slow or reluctant to integrate information technologies into their curricula? One can point to many factors that might inhibit that integration of technology. Fear of change, skepticism as to its usefulness, limited access, and technical problems - these may all be obstacles that hinder teachers from embracing technology.
