| CIS 58.51A Designing Web Pages A beginning hands-on introduction to using a Hypertext Mark-up Language (HTML) to design Web pages which will be displayed on the World Wide Web. Students will use HTML to create web pages that have the following elements: text in various size and colors, links, lists, background color and patterns, interlaced and transparent graphics, tables, and mailtos. Principles of color, line and design as they apply to screen presentations will be included.(CR/NC option) Cost: $5.00. |
CIS 105A Introduction to PC's Designed as a first course for students with little or no computer experience. Students will explore computer basics in a hands-on environment, using Windows 98 and 2000. Topics include: the components of a computer system; basic terminology; use of the mouse and keyboard; Desktop features; disk and file handling; use of word processing, graphics and spreadsheet software to create and print simple documents; accessing the World Wide Web.(CR/NC option) |
