283 Staff Development and Presentation Applications


The course explores the necessary elements that bring integrated technology to staff members. Students will use a variety of delivery methods for staff development that could include multimedia, the web, and hands-on integrated curricular activities teachers or other educators can use immediately with available technology. The course also includes scaffolding for completion of culminating experience Action Research projects.
Prerequisite: Graduate Standing - 3 units.

Assessment
Students will:
1. analyze and evaluate real-world or web-based presentations;

2. develop a research-based staff development plan for large groups incorporating effective presentation practices to accompany the major assignment for EDTE 282, and

3. conduct a staff development training in a trial setting for an iMET peer evaluation.
