EDTE 286 - Technology and Modern Practices

Tapped In: Web 2.0 - A Whole New Mind?
Thursday August 27, 2009

Introduction

The purpose of tonight's tapped in session is to continue our exploration of Web 2.0  'applications' and to further investigate their possible use in both our professional and personal lives. Each group will explore a Web 2.0 technology tool with the goal of this activity being to select a new tool or application to support, illustrate, or enhance your group's assigned 'element' (Daniel Pink) for the final 286 project.

Task

Each group member will search the http://www.go2web20.net/ site and return to their tapped in group with 2-3 (or more) possible sites, tools, or applications. Be prepared to defend your choices to your project group. Discuss the pros and cons of each site and then narrow the selections to 1-3 choices. The recorder will briefly summarize the final choice(s) and describe how this technology might be integrated to support the development of your assigned final project 'element'.
