Final Project - For the cumulative project, students (groups) can pick from a variety of ways to present their findings, hypothesis and designs. Teachers should work with each group to determine the size and complexity of each presentation since class sizes, time and hardware and software availability may be a factor.

The following are suggestions as to what should be included in the Final Project:

1) Database Results and/or
2) Completed Graphic Organizers
3) Final Evaluation Summary and Prediction
4) Student, handmade products: Future clothing designs created using a variety of techniques such as poster boards, sewn clothing, sketches, computer-aided images, or any other agreed upon media.

Choices of how to present should include oral presentations consisting of:

1) A multimedia presentation using software such as PowerPoint or HyperStudio.
2) A web page project.
3) An oral report.

Any of the final projects and presentations can be graded using the Hats Off to History rubric or the teacher may want to design or adopt an alternate rubric or assessment piece.

Extensions and Alternate assignments - there are five Optional Assignments that can be used to extend Hats Off to History or for use as an alternate Final Projects.
