| Project:
Your team will work together to collect information about the
civilization of ancient Mesopotamia. You will work as
a specialist focusing on one specific area of the Mesopotamian
civilization. The Mesopotamian civilization included the
seperate civilizations of Sumeria, Bablyonia, and Assyria. You
will focus on Mesopotamian society from about 4000 B.C. until
about 500 B.C.

Roles and
Responsibilities:
- Every specialist needs
to keep track of where you find your information so that you
can cite your resources on the "Works Cited" page.
- As a specialist you
will need to prepare:
- A written report of your
findings (for the research report)
- A paragraph which summarizes
your information (for the poster and webpage)
- illustrations relating to
your topic (for the slideshow, webpage, and poster)
- at least one slide on your
group's presentation
- Provide all information and
images for the poster and web page for your group.
Law and
Government specialist:
You will be responsible
for collecting all information on the structure of government
and the laws or rules in Mesopotamia. You are also in charge
of editing, organizing, and designing the poster for the group.
Food Supply and Trade
Specialist:
You will be responsible
for collecting all information on the development of agriculture
and trade in Mesopotamia. You are also in charge of editing, organizing,
and designing the web site for the group with the labor specialist.
Labor
Specialist:
You will be responsible
for collecting all information on the different jobs that people
had in the Mesopotamian society. You are also in charge of editing,
organizing, and designing the web site for the group with the
food supply specialist.
Social
Levels Specialist:
You will be responsible
for collecting all information on the different social levels
that existed in Mesopotamian society. You are also in charge
of editing, organizing, and designing the slideshow for your
group.
Culture
Specialist(s):
You will be responsible
for collecting information on the art, architecture, religion,
music, and other interesting aspects of Mesopotamian society.
Your research may overlap into the areas covered by other specialists.
You need to decide who is going to present specific information. You are also in charge of editing, organizing,
and designing the research paper for the group.
