Evaluation

The 3 parts of this activity are as follows:

Part 1

You will answer the question "who am I" by completing 5 short exercises on your own. These exercises will be turned in to this instructor as indicated on your syllabus. Each exercise is designed to expose you to a particular perspective of personality that is discussed in your textbook. The perspectives are as follows: Trait, Psychoanalytic, Biological, Behaviorist, and Humanistic.

Part 2

Using simple lessons developed by this instructor, you will learn basic skills in web- page and site creation. There are practice activities within each lesson and I will ask you to provide me with a copy of your work by handing in a disk at the end of the lessons.

Part 3

This is when your group will function as a team to gather information online in order to answer questions about a theorist who represents a perspective of personality. Your group may choose one of the perspectives investigated under Part 1 or you may select an alternate perspective (e.g., Neoanalytic, Cognitive, Existentialist, or Interactionist). The information you gather to answer these questions should be briefly summarized in the form of a series of web pages that are linked together to form a web site. This is not as scary as it sounds! If you think about 5 different questions with each answered on a separate piece of paper and all pages stapled together, you have an analogy for the web site you will create.
