100 points total - 80 points or more needed to receive a passing grade!

Each MUST DO item...................................................60 points

Each CAN DO item.....................................................20 points

Being a cooperative group member.................................... 5 points

Performing task assigned.............................................. 5 points

Following writing standards........................................... 5 points

Orally presents project to class following standards.............. 5 points

Extra credits can be built into this rubric. You can allow extra points for more than 2 CAN DO items or have it fit your particular state standards. Keep in mind that nothing breeds success like success ;)

Projects should be graded in regards to the effort put forth by the student. Projects should be representive of the subject the child wants to research. Dioramas should be scaled properly and only include items relative to the time period. Reports should include facts, photo's, habitats, diets and descriptions of the intended target.Posters should reflect the dinosaur or event without words or explanations. I do not feel that any individual needs to adhear to my rules or guidelines 100%. I want your child/class/group to learn about dinosaurs in a fun and informative way. The above points are general guidelines that can direct you towards your intended goal as a parent of a homeschooler or as a classroom teacher. This rubric is here if you need one!
