Biome WebQuest

     This WebQuest is designed as third grade curriculum integrating content standards in Science, Language Arts, Listening and Speaking. Teams of students investigate 5 different biomes in an effort to select the best one for a field trip. The activity encourages collaboration, research skills, and the presentation of research in a multimedia format with a persuasive writing component. The students are provided with scaffolded resources such as techniques to organize their research, helpful writing hints, and PowerPoint directions and templates. In addition, it addresses the organization and delivery of oral communication, and the analysis and evaluation of oral and media communications.
