Abstract
Introduction This action research project was undertaken in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the master's degree Master of Arts in Education: Educational Technology at California State University, Sacramento. I have taught the afternoon multilevel CBET (Community Based English Teaching) class for two years and have access to the ESL computer lab on a daily basis, putting it in my locus of control. Area of Focus The purpose of the study was to determine whether students would find teacher created exercises engaging and useful in their efforts to acquire English vocabulary. Research Questions The primary research question was, "What is the impact of teacher-made, computer-based materials upon students' language learning?"
