Introduction... Every year you are required to trudge to the library to dig up resources for some research project or another. You would like to do the research on the Internet from the comfort of your own home, but most teachers only allow students to pull one resource from the Internet. This is because teachers believe students cannot distinguish between web pages that are true and accurate and those that just anyone has created (may be true or not). Why should you be restricted from using excellent resources, when you know that you are perfectly capable of finding reliable sources? Wouldn't it be nice to prove to your teachers that you know something they might not? That there is an abundance of excellent, reliable resources on the Internet, and students are capable of distinguishing the difference between the good and the bad websites. |
