I'm glad you have decided you will help me! I am anxious for you to discover what part of California I am from and who my people are.

I also want to learn about the other parts of California and the people who lived there during my time, so I can choose whether to go home or to pick another place to visit.

You and 3 other students will become anthropologists to work together as a team.

You will each become expert on one of the California Regions and on one of the Native American groups that lived in that region before Europeans arrived. You will use the links on the region pages (linked across the top of this page) and those you discover on your own to find the information you will need.

Together you will make a PowerPoint presentation presenting each region and each Native group. At the end of your presentation you will include slides explaining which group 'Anya Thinya'aak belongs to and what your clues were.

Seperately, you will create a brochure in Word that will convince 'Anya Thinya'aak that she wants to live in the region you think is best.
