A WebQuest for Middle School Students
Writing the first chapter of your autobiography
In this webquest, you will study a variety of events that occurred the day and the year you were born. Research will be done using the Internet, traditional library sources and/or personal family interviews. As you study about the events that occurred during your birth year, you will compile information pertaining to science, technology, geography, news events (local, international and international), pop culture, as well as personal accounts of your birthday and your first year of life. Your finished project will be organized into an informative report which will be presented via a multimedia tool such as a website or PowerPoint presentation.
You will also be given the opportunity to will share your research on the global forum. Our goal is for you to be able to connect with at least one other person from the global forum who was born on the same day that you were.
Perhaps a new epal from the other side of the world will be your new global friend!
