282 Strategies for Application and Presentation
Flex Tapped In : Web Developer's Resource Fair
March 8, 2007 (Summary due via email by Midnight, Sunday, March 11, 2007)
For this Flex assignment you will need to meet with your 282 project group in Tapped In, face-to-face, or other real-time interaction. You should plan to meet at the scheduled time, March 8, 7-9:30 pm unless everyone in your group agrees to meet at an alternative time.
The goal of this assignment is to explore web resources pertaining to web design and development, javascript, audio and video, and read/write web sites. While there are MANY sites available on these topics, I have attempted to narrow our focus and provided lists for each topic. You should approach this assignment as not just an overview of what's out there, but a time set aside to learn a new technology, or at least introduce yourself to it. In the end, your new knowledge should be applied, if applicable, to the creation of your final project.
Below is a suggested agenda for your meeting. Each group member should visit at least 2 sites from a topic, and then 2 sites from a second topic. You should "divide and conquer" with your first topics and then consider focusing your group's attention on one topic if you feel it would be valuable to the creation of your project. Feel free to include additional sites in your learning process. NOTE: We will explore graphic design and how it pertains to web design in more detail in a future assignment.
