Rollout of grade 6-8 1:1 thin client computing

All grade 6-8, middle school students are given a thin-client terminal for their use in class and at home. Where cable is available in their city (60% of households) free access to the filtered district network is given to students. The thin-clients replace textbooks, students can access class work and teacher web pages from home, and parents can access grade records and other school services by using a special password provided by the school. The thin-client terminals serve as notepads as well as networked termnals
