The district fiber optic, filtered network is extended into the neighborhoods to hundreds of homes. The district defrays the cost of this through partnerships with its local cable media provider, Cox Media, and by leasing out its network services to city services such as the library, fire and police.
The district offers computers for reduced cost lease or purchase by district families. Those students testing below grade level in reading or math are provided thin-client terminals for use at home at no cost.
