The iMet electronic portfolio tells the story of the iMet experience.
It consists of four structural components:
The Abstract Section
The portfolio abstract is an introduction to the e-portfolio. The basic components of the abstract includes elements such as a welcome to the reader, an overview of the portfolio components and an introduction to the navigation of the portfolio.
The Process Section
The process section of the portfolio consists of a personal reflection on the student's experience in the iMet program and a resume. In addition, many students include a narrative of their teaching history and philosophy.
The Products Section
In the product section of the portfolio, students link artifacts (products) they have created during their time in the program. Each product includes a description explaining how technology and teaching strategies were utilized, how the product is connected to standards and literature and how the product concept was conceived. In addition, this section includes feedback received from peers and faculty regarding each product. Most portfolios contain 4-6 products.
The Showcase Section
The showcase section of the portfolio contains two main components: a review of the literature and the write up of the student's action research project.
If you are iMet Alumni, and would like to have your portfolio included in this section of the web site, please send your research topic and portfolio address to dianal@csus.edu.
